The Worker's Apron
Functional and formidable.
We set out to create a product that would offer utility, relevance and practicality in the face of any job. The resulting Hudson Made Original Design is both handy and handsome; we call it the Worker's Apron and it will shield you from the dirt, soil, muck and mire that are the inevitable by-products of good old-fashioned hard work—whether your labor of love takes you to a workshop, a studio, a garden or the kitchen.
Outfitted with a heavy-duty canvas body, nothing will get past this unyielding fabric rampart. Its firm structure and heavy composition provide the new apron a rugged stiffness that gives you a confident fearlessness to tackle any endeavor. As the apron ages, that stiffness relaxes into a supple flexibility that will conform to your body's movement. Over time it continues to provide the same safeguard while becoming—just like pair of well-worn jeans or loafers—a part of you.
We've endowed the apron with four pockets reinforced with solid brass rivets. The upper pockets are ideal to keep small items near at hand: pencils, blades, shears, detail brushes, nuts and bolts. At the waist, two larger pockets run nearly the width of the apron itself. Deep, broad and accommodating, they wrap around your legs providing ample space for bigger, bulkier items. Hand tools, gardening implements, barbecue tongs and a ruler could all fit easily into just one of these knee-deep pouches. The apron ties on with three solid straps of smoked, stretched and scraped American Buckskin.
We think the look of the apron improves exponentially with every new stain and smudge. But if you must, caring for it is uncomplicated: hand wash or machine wash in cold water, then simply let it air dry. (Hot water can destroy the buckskin.) We also recommend occasionally burnishing the straps with mineral oil to keep the buckskin from becoming brittle.

Hand-made in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, the Worker’s Apron is ideal for workers, artists, landscapers, painters, woodworkers and any individual of vision, purpose and craft.
